Artist, Librarian, Activist, Traveler, Ex-Bartender, Milwaukeean.
Christina is a librarian by vocation and a photographer by avocation. Her primary photographic obsession was documenting the city of Milwaukee and the people in it and The Lake beside it. It still is, but being a public employee in Wisconsin amid the protests around Act 10 in 2011, her focus shifted towards political and social justice activism within the city.
Lately, she has been rethinking her existing images and using them as raw material to create new landscapes. These new landscapes frequently include images from the Digital Collections and of the print collection at the UWM Libraries.
Her most recent work can be found on Instagram.
For hire? Not so much. Collaboration or exhibition? I'm all ears.
